Synopsis of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

This anime tells about a world in the midst of an industrial revolution. The giant group that is hard to kill appears. The giant can only be killed by piercing its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron.

The giant infects humans with its bite, it can create an aggressive undead and is known as Kabane. On Hinomoto Island, located in the far east, people have built stations to protect these creatures. Humans access the station as a means of transporting food and goods, with the help of a running steam locomotive called Hayajiro.

Ikoma, a child who lives at Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, he creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu to defeat the creature (Kabane). One day, as he waited for the opportunity to use his weapon, he met a girl named Mumei, who was released from the mandatory Kabane examination. At that time Ikuma and Mumei saw Hayajiro going out of control. Suddenly one of the staff at the Hayajiro locomotive turned into a creature (Kabane). The station is now attacked by Kabane, and it was also the opportunity for Ikoma to try the device he created to kill Kabane.
